The property was beautifully maintained, with spacious and clean cabins. The daily housekeeping was a pleasant surprise, and the wifi even reached our cabin. We loved relaxing in the hammock space and the pool was a great perk. The lodge's location, nestled between the Caribbean Ocean and the Tortuguero River, offered stunning views and the opportunity to spot wildlife. The owner, Willis, was accommodating and organized tours for us. The tranquility of the lodge allowed us to truly relax and let go of the fast-paced lifestyle. I highly recommend this hotel.

Best aspects of my stay in Tortuguero were the beautiful gardens and refreshing pool, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The convenient and tasty breakfast provided a great start to the day. The best part was the helpfulness of the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless experience. They arranged all our transfers and activities, making it easy for us to enjoy our time without any extra hassle.
The limited storage space in the bungalow, which was a bit cramped for our family of four. the transfer costs ended up being more expensive than expected, so it's important to consider those when budgeting for your stay.

I had an amazing stay at a lovely eco-lodge in a remote location. The beautiful gardens and refreshing pool made it a perfect place to relax. The breakfast served on the terrace by the river was delightful. The owner, Mr. Rankin, personally greeted us at the jetty and arranged our tours, making everything convenient for us. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, and the beds were cozy. The whole experience felt personal and welcoming, like staying with friends. I also appreciated that by staying here, I was supporting a local family instead of a big resort. I highly recommend this hotel.

The family running the lodge is very knowledgeable and organized a private boat trip for us, which was an amazing experience. The facilities are basic but good for the price, and the small swimming pool was a nice addition to cool down. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the whole lodge complex felt like home.
The service from the son and wife of the owner was not as welcoming, and it took effort to get information. The dinner options were nothing special, and the overall service could have been better.

I had a wonderful stay at a family-run lodge in the middle of the forest. All Rankins Eco-Lodge was a little slice of paradise. the location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful gardens and a small pool for hot afternoons. the cabins were simple but clean, with a really comfy bed. the family who runs the lodge were extremely friendly and helpful, always there to assist with excursions and transportation. the breakfast and dinner were delicious, with freshly prepared meals. I particularly enjoyed the turtle watching tour and canoe trip recommended by the host. I would definitely choose to stay here again when visiting the area. Cons: Not obvious to find 📍.
